You live in a place where this is far more common than other cities. I'm guessing there may have been a small gathering in PHX but we're more likely to get people protesting against immigration, taxes, government spending, and the usual Tea Party issues.

I understand how you feel and I get the feeling of solidarity but your opening sentence is true .... most people believe protests won't change policy or practice. I tend to see them as 'awareness' events bringing issues to the surface but there must be a follow-up to the march involving people who can influence direction, like politicians willing to stand up to the corrupt system. Those guys are hard to find.

I wonder how many millions would have to march to truly get the attention of Washington and Wall Street.
