Grrrrrrr, indeed! I decimated my IRAs during my two years of unemployment, and the penalties decimated the little savings I had hoped to amass this year. I'm still paying off the credit card I had to use to cover my taxes, and I'll be paying it off for quite some time. That is not the way to jump-start the economy!
