I was married for 28 yrs and one of the things that bothered me about the relationship was that my husband would never take the initiative about anything. If I didn't suggest dinner out or a movie or a household project or resolving a disagreement, it just did not get done. I'd tell him how I felt about it and that made no difference at all.
If something is important to us, we have the right to seek it. I imagine we can make one exception to get the ball rolling and see if he starts to take the bull by the horns.
Self respect and standing up for what we believe in can't be bad. Wishing you well in all you do!
