a little poem, a strange event

openscarfvague unease all day gradually forms a perfect storm of tears and anguish
drowning me, lost at midnight
flash flood, tornedo, earthquake
as it passes, as I come back
I see a cat sitting as close to me as possible, at attention, watching me, not leaving me
we breathe together
this little animal awes me
wonder and relief
a storm as unexpected, fearsome, forceful and relentless as it was, is gone
done
not lost
