Tuesday was definitely the day it started looking like I was going to get what I needed. I started fairly early and went to bike shop and bought a couple spoke and front & back flashing reflectors, 2 tire tubes, two little tools to pop off the tires (they're here somewhere), a bell, and a bike seat cover.

Then I went to the drugstore and got my prescriptions, vitamins, 2 100 block sunscreen (Sport brand) and one for face, cooling aloe lotion, neosporin, band-aids, saline nose spray, batteries, fun eye-makeup, trash bags, small trash bags, lighters and a travel sewing kit.

I went to a craft store in the same area that I wished I had gone to in the beginning. I found a better, cheaper sewing kit, good strong invisible thread, a cheap wicker basket I thought I could use as a bike basket and a swatch of fake fur for $3.00.

I returned the drugstore store sewing kit. I walked across the street the hardware store and got these kind of clips, I have no idea what they're called. They're metal, you kind of loop them and then screw them together. They guy recommended those for the basket, plus some big zip ties.

Between two grocery stores I got most of my food. Cereal and almond milk, veggie pouch meals that you boil and eat, they're vacuumed sealed. A bag of mixed grains-quinoa couscous, orzo, baby garbanzo beans-boil, simmer and eat;  2 cans of refried beans (I'll probably bring more) 2 big boxes of triscuits, 2 big bags of tostitos, 2 bags of sweet potato chips, cookies, almonds, raisins, olives, hot sauce, almond butter, cliff and Luna bars, hard candies, box of emergencee packs.

12 little V-8's, 8 little cranberry juices, 8 little can coffee drinks (will make coffee too).

I returned the bike seat to the bike shop. Altho it was cushy, it was money, my ass will be fine with the fake fur.

At Target I got several sizes of storage plastic containers with clip lids, I think I'll get a few more.

Between my 2 super awesome man friends, we got the reflectors on the bike, the basket (not the cheap one I bought, a better one I had that was sitting doing nothing. We used the clips and bungee cord. I just stapled and tied the fur on the seat. It's cute.

There are just a handful of things left to get, besides 16 gallons of water and vodka.

My theory with food is to keep it simple. I'm not into bringing fresh stuff that will be dead in 2 days and having meals be a huge part of the day. This is kind of how I eat anyway. I plan to eat fruit on the way up and have for the first day, then whatever.

My normal routine is I eat  a lot of raw foods, and I don't eat a lot. When it's hot especially. The last 2 days were a great test, we had our "first days" of summer, it was in the 90's here, my apartment was that. I've heard from so many people that you just don't eat as much out there. I think I have plenty of food, may pick up another something but it's mainly hydration that concerns me. I've been tracking how much I drink normally!!

I have stuff everywhere, but I'm getting there. I went to my friend's yesterday and we put up her little tent, it was simple.

Not the most interesting post, but this is the part that's fun, just a few more errands and the organizing and packing. My list is awesome.
