Home sweet home.  In the cave.  On the couch.  Cats.   Popcorn.  Red Wine.  Friday paper.  What not to Wear.

As the thoughts come, invade, barge in, try to drag me somewhere, I say wisely, as if I am wise, to myself I say, is this something I can control?  And of course, 99.9% of the time the answer is no, so then I say, so don't think about it.  And I don't.

Why does it take 47 years to learn that?

A post or two ago I raved about a book, Bridge of Sighs.  I'm a fast reader, but this book, I have only read at night in bed, where I don't last too long.  Last night, I got pissed at the book.  Why hasn't he written anything about Lou and Sarah having sex?  it makes no sense and I feel like throwing it across the room.  There must be some huge reveal coming up, he's too good a writer.  Is he?  Grr.  Must finish this book.

sounds like an excellent friday night! i watched what not to wear last night too. :) i really want one of the outfits stacy and clinton had on the manniquin - the jeans with a green printed shirt, brown sweater, and fabulous brown oxford-inspired shoes.

and i hear you on the "not worrying about things you can't control." my mother gave me that bit of advice years ago and it's proven to be a very powerful bit of advice. if she hadn't said that to me, i'm not sure how long it would have taken me to learn that one.

Well I have heard and read and thought about that advice FOREVER, but I don't know, I wouldn't let myself NOT obsess. What an energy waste, maybe that's it, I get too tired, haha!

I love seeing people's fashion/style. I fantasize about a mixture of Anthropologie (home and fashion), J. Crew, and a touch of VS. Of course, with the scary economy, I've put myself on a buying starvation diet. It's cool though, have to be more imaginative.......
