Last night I woke around 3 a.m. with a poem in my head, I made myself write it down and went back to sleep. I was very pleasantly surprised that I after I deciphered it today, that I liked it. My nights are getting very exciting. ;-)

I watched "Bright Star" last night, about the romantic tragic love of John Keats and Fanny Brawne. It was slightly too drippy for me, but I basically really enjoyed it, it did seem to inspire words.

Thomas Edison used to fall asleep in a chair holding weights over a metal pan. When he fell asleep, he'd drop the weights and wake up. Then he'd jot down his thoughts, knowing that that weird half-awake, half-asleep state of mind was a very creative one.

Edison would be proud of your middle-of-the-night poem.

Thanks for that nugget. I like reading his quotes for inspiration sometimes. This story will help inspire me learn to wake up a little at 3ish and see what's in there. It's funny, I felt sad this morning, that it didn't happen last night. ;-/
