I read this post right after I woke up this morning and went immediately to the media for more information. I hit every major news website.

(Jeopardy theme playing)

It seems they're not quite ready to report on the next domino.

Finally I found a story on Salon.com. The money media is still stuck on the Egypt news cycle.

Right?? That's why the web is so important and all these communities that we form. TV news is always behind and censored! It's gov't/corporate issue.I think the web is our power and I'll fight for anyone to have that!

I can't tell if your icon is a monkey or not. THAT would be da bomb!

Good morning!

I'm writing a post about how lame, and not free, the mainstream media is regarding this breaking story .... which may be bigger than Egypt because Algeria is an OPEC member nation ..... and they hold elections.

I wonder if there will be a double standard for an oil producing regime.

That is one of my non-monkey icons, the Independent Man, a 14 foot bronze statue sitting atop the dome of the Rhode Island State House.

It's a symbol of my home state's independence and my unaffiliated political position.

I guess I'm not as surprised as you are about mainstream media. I don't watch it and skim headlines.

If the gov't is beholden to corporations and the media is corporate owned, there you have it.

Since you feel strongly, please repost the information, you never know who will see it who will use it or know someone who will. This is the information high way.

The Egyptians planned the revolution on FB. The times have all ready changed.

Power to the People and Monkeys!
