Wisconsin, Michigan, Japan, radiation, earthquake survival kits (suitcases), the spiraling down of the USA, it's overwhelming.  I am astonished at what's going on here in this country, barely making the "news."

I know I'll leave California in at least a few years, there's no getting ahead here. That thought has been in the universe for a while now.

And in another amount of years, I think I could be happy in another country. I'm hearing great things about Australia and New Zealand. Or even Panama.

Events seem to be happening rapidly. I can't figure out what the neocons are up to.

Things always seem to go in cycles where nature and humans all seem to be behaving disastrously all at the same time in different places. Sometimes I just think all we can do is hang on and wait for the cycle to... well.. cycle again.

I do believe that, but these "unnatural" cycles regarding the gov't are really pissing me off. ;-/

I tried to believe the pendulum would swing back during the moronic and depressing Dubya years, but now all that's happening here and my countrymen and women who vote in these agenda seeking billionaires (mo' money, mo' money) makes me want to drop in somewhere else and learn and live another culture instead of watching America's elected officials steamroll over the rights Americans have taken for granted since the birth of and reason for, this country. I'm not certain living in a super power country is all that.

I understand the frustration - I see a lot of the same thing happening here in the UK.

If I could learn the language, I think I'd like to live in Holland. The (admittedly little) time I've spent there, I've really enjoyed both the people and the landscape, though I know little of their politics.

I think it was Ben Franklin who said , "in a democracy, the people get the kind of government they deserve". Now we'll have to see after two years of the Republifascists showing their asses which way the pendulum swings. However, the fact is we undertax corporations and the rich, which means our governments, state and federal, are drowning in debt, and neither party seems able to either willing or able to tackle that fact.

I think the top 1 or 4% whatever it is, that's what they want. Someone said the rich want one thing, to get richer. So they divide us against each other.

It's not politicians that are governing, it's the corporations. Nothing is too ludicrous to suggest to cut as long as the rich are protected. The lone wolf politicians who do want to represent the people and who are good, I don't think they're strong enough to stand up to the corporate beast.

I really admire Wisconites and Michiganers, I apologize if that's not what we call them.

It's time for some yoga. ;-)

Don't spend much time worrying about the neo-cons or teabaggers. We always know what they're thinking because they never shut the fuck up.

The Libyans have been crushed under the weight of Ghadaffi and the indecisive UN western cabal. On the media front Libya was a casualty of the Japanese disaster. I feel ashamed of my country for not helping.

New Zealaind looks cool but they too are on the ring of fire.

I think the friends will go to New Zealand, they're from California and Oregon, they'll deal with earthquakes.

I do worry about the neocons, they have super evil powers!

But yeah, I can barely watch the news. But Ohio and Wisconsin, holy cow. I don't see Obama doing much there either.

It's crazy I tell you!
