Headache on Saturday morning seems cruel. Still did yoga though. Have a lot I want to do today, all in the warm cozy confines of home.
1. Pay bills
2. Laundry (basement)
3. Pedicure
4. Write something
5. Make tabouli in my new food processor
6. Do one of the yoga download practices
7. Watch 'The Visitor' tonight

Date: 2009-01-31 08:18 pm (UTC)I find if I don't make a list, I'll end up doing nothing and get very depressed and anxious by nighttime. I'm like a broken record about yoga, it really saves me. There is the fitness you achieve, but all the internal benefits and mind and body connection do change my perspective...
I have writer's block. I've been lurking on a few sites here, Bridget's Flame-that's how I started reading yours, and Line by Line. I'm waiting for the manifesto from Bridget's Flame before I jump in. I don't get it yet.
So I write little snippets and poems, but I'm trying to get away from poems, for some reason, they don't seem to mean as much to me as prose. Very conflicted.
thoughts? :-)

Date: 2009-01-31 08:32 pm (UTC)I struggle with feelings of inferiority about my writing. I know I write well, but then I read other people's things and then. . . I alwo want it to be "perfect," which holds me back. I understand about the poetry thing. I wrote a lot of it when I was young, but prose fits me better now and I can use creative imagery in that. I tried to do NaNoMo in November, but failed miserably. Too MUCH pressure.
I'm going to start getting ready for tonight. I'm just planning on enjoying myself for whatever the evening brings.
